|* Please ask your network administrator to assist with the following steps
Whether on Windows, Linux or Novell, you have to create a 'shared' folder on the server side. Please give access rights to all users having the access the data-folder. (Read and write rights minimum)
Copy the payroll data folder as a sub folder into this 'shared' folder on the server side.
It is not necessary to copy any of the payroll program files into this folder (ONLY THE DATA FILES).
You will notice that the payroll data files have TPS file extensions and are all normally put into a single folder (DATA-SET) on the workstation side.
The files are typically called PAYR01.TPS, PAYR02.TPS and can go up to PAYR99.TPS
Install contact® Payroll on the workstation side.
The following link will provide more information for the download and installation of the payroll system:
After the installation and registration is complete, launch the payroll system and click on FILE, OPEN.
Select the shared-folder from the server side, then open the data-set from the 'shared' folder as being copied onto the server.
